What do we charge?
We work on a time-and-materials-based approach to fixing general WordPress issues.
In most cases, it’s very difficult to give you a fixed cost for something that we haven’t investigated, but we can’t investigate your site for free.
Therefore, we have a simple approach for addressing general WordPress work that goes like this:
- You let us know the issue or list of topics on your site
- We will estimate the time required:
- One hour for simple issues
- Two hours for complex issues
- Three hours for significant issues
- We then ask you to buy the time here
- Once paid, we will open a support ticket and start working to keep you informed.
- We work in one-hour sessions, so we don’t use all your time immediately – we do an hour’s work and report back before doing any more work.
- This process repeats until we fix the issue or run out of time.
What happens if we need more time?
First of all, we’ll know this within the first hour of working on your site, even if you’ve bought three hours. Once we start working on a site, we quickly understand the scope of what we are working with, so we’ll have a conversation before we use all the time you’ve bought.
What happens if we don’t use all the time?
Then you can ask us to do some other work on your site – technical optimisation, updates, styling issues and so on. If we do have time left over, we’ll let you know and we can decide how best to use it.
The other alternative is to save the time for a later date – we’ll keep a record of it for you.
Do we refund any time not used?
No, as the administrative costs in doing so reduce our fees.

We will need to give you an estimate of the time required before we then take payment and book your work.

The quicker you want us to do the work, the more time it will cost.
Often, if you’ve had an issues for a while, it’s best to choose the cheaper option as this is a 3-5 day turnaround – but if you want us to drop everything and do it today, we can, but it simply costs more.
